Registered Psychotherapist providing psychotherapy services in Ontario

Hi, I’m Erica.

Seeking therapy can feel like a big step. Many people arrive feeling uncertain, overwhelmed, or unsure where to begin. At Strength Within Psychotherapy, you are met with care, respect, and genuine curiosity, in a supportive space where there is no pressure to be anywhere other than where you are. My goal is to help you recognize and build on your existing strengths, so you can move toward a more fulfilling and meaningful life.

This is a space to slow down, explore what’s been weighing on you, and develop a deeper understanding of yourself at your own pace. Whether you are navigating stress, emotional challenges, life transitions, or seeking new ways to feel more regulated and grounded, therapy is approached as a collaborative process shaped around your needs, goals, and comfort level.

I am the Founder and Clinical Director of Movement & Exercise Psychotherapy™, a unique therapeutic approach developed within my practice that thoughtfully integrates movement and exercise into evidence-based psychotherapy. I am a Registered Psychotherapist (RP) in Ontario, a member in good standing with the College of Registered Psychotherapists of Ontario (CRPO), and an advanced-level doctoral student in Clinical Psychology. My doctoral training has provided specialized clinical training with children, adolescents, and neurodivergent individuals, which I integrate into my psychotherapy practice. I am also an Ontario Autism Program (OAP) certified clinician, and provide neurodivergent-affirming care that supports emotional regulation, self-understanding, and skill development in developmentally appropriate ways. I strive to offer care that is thoughtful, respectful, and responsive to each client’s unique experiences and needs.

I bring over ten years of experience working at the intersection of mental health, movement, and behaviour change. My background includes psychotherapy practice alongside extensive experience in strength training, coaching, personal training, and working with individuals across a range of clinical and community settings.

My training and clinical interests include:

  • Evidence-based psychotherapy approaches

  • Neurodivergent-affirming care

  • Emotional regulation and stress-related concerns

  • Integrating embodied, somatic, and movement-based interventions into psychotherapy

  • Child, adolescent, and adult mental health

I am committed to ethical, reflective practice and ongoing professional development. All services are provided within my professional scope, with careful attention to consent, safety, and clinical appropriateness.
